Barbara Llewellyn Catering and Event Planning began with one event in 1987 and has grown to become one of the premiere catering and event planning companies in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Growing up on Cape Cod in a family already immersed in the food service industry, it was natural for Barbara to apply her skills to the catering profession. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she spent several years working in the hospitality industry with private clubs, resorts, country clubs, restaurants, and finally as a part of The Hyatt Corporation in Cambridge. Upon being transferred to San Francisco, Barbara decided to parlay her vast experience in all areas of the industry into her own private catering company, and the rest is history.

Although the business has evolved considerably over the last twenty-eight years, the cornerstones of Barbara Llewellyn Catering and Event Planning remain constant: an excellent product and incomparable service.  With twenty full-time employees and a hundred part-time employees, Barbara Llewellyn Catering and Event Planning operates out of a ten thousand square foot facility in the East Bay serving corporate, social, and private clients.    

With the company growing year after year Barbara is continually looking at innovative ways to expand her business. Correspondingly, Barbara promises always to strive for one objective with every client, a “stunning event from start to finish”.

Barbara is actively involved in philanthropic organizations throughout the community. She has two children and resides in Orinda, CA and on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
